Run MobileSim In Virtual PC Windows XP Mode

You can run MobileSim 0.5 in a Windows XP virtual machine to work around problems running in Windows 7 or Vista.

Download and set up both Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode by following the instructions at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc .

Run the XP Mode virtual machine by choosing Start -> Windows Virtual PC -> Windows XP Mode. Set up networking in the virtual machine by choosing Tools -> Settings and selecting Networking. Bind Adapter 1 to the primary active network interface on your host system (e.g. your ethernet LAN connection, or wireless if on a Laptop with wifi only). This will bridge the virtual machine to that interface, as if the virtual machine was an additional computer on the same network.

Take note of the IP address of the virtual machine by running "ipconfig" in a command shell. You can then use this address with the "-remoteHost" command-line option to an ARIA program (e.g. demo).
