Microphones for Peoplebot and Pioneer Audio Systems
From MobileRobots Research and Academic Customer Support
The optional audio system for Peoplebot and Pioneer 3 DX robot platforms includes a pair of microphones for audio input.
The signal from the microphones is amplified in a pre-amplifier, then pass to the computer's onboard sound hardware.
The microphones have been attached to the robot (on the top deck of the Peoplebot, or on the laser bracket of a Pioneer), but may be easily repositioned to the best locations for your application. The microphones are omnidirectional but will pick up input best directly in front of the cylindrical housings.
