Robot analog joystick

Most robots (except for Amigobot) have a joystick port on the rear of the robot. The locations are illustrated below. This is for use with the robot analog joystick:

This port is used by the robot firmware to directly drive the robot, unless a client program (e.g. using ARIA) has connected and requested that it receive the joystick data instead and control the robot in software. See Driving With Joystick for additional information.

Pioneer 3 AT, PeopleBot, PowerBot, Seekur and Seekur Jr. models all come with the robot joystick port. On Seekur, a wireless joystick is available. On Pioneer DX models the joystick is optional but recommended. If you are interested in adding a joystick port to a robot, contact sales@mobilerobots.com for more details. Joystick hardware may not be available for some older robots.
