GPS receiver

From MobileRobots Research and Academic Customer Support

Jump to: navigation, search

MobileRobots sells and supports two Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers: the Trimble AgGPS (Ag-252, followed by Ag-372) and the NovAtel ProPak GPS. Support for communicating with both receivers, as well as with any receiver supporting the NMEA protocol, is available in ARIA via its ArGPS and ArGPSConnector classes. For automatic robot navigation using GPS data, MobileRobots sells the Outdoor Navigation option package with Pioneer 3 AT and Seekur robots; this optional package includes a GPS receiver and the MOGS software. Accuracy of the GPS may be improved using DGPS corrections from OmniStar or a stationary radio beacon.
