When you connect to a robot server (ArNetworking, ARNL, SONARNL, MOGS, or ARAM), the clients (MobileEyes, Mapper3, Mapper3-Basic and MobilePlanner) present a dialog box with three fields, "User Name", "Password", and "Robot Servers":

The "Robot Servers" field is required. In this box, enter the network host name or IP address of the computer on which the server is running. For example, if the network hostname of your robot's onboard computer is "robot" then enter "robot" in this box. If the server is running on a port other than 7272, you can specify the port after the network host name separated by a colon (:). You can specify multiple servers separated by commas. If the server is running on the same computer as the one running MobileEyes, use "localhost" as the server name.

The "User Name" and "Password" fields are not usually required, and can be left empty. They only need to be used if the server has user permissions enabled (by using the "-userInfo" program option); this feature is not enabled by default.
