Software Audio/Video Package

This is a network-based audio/video transmission package, designed to replace the hardware-solution of using an analog transmitter. SAV requires an onboard computer, framegrabber, and optionally a microphone. The package consists of two applications, the server and client. The server opens the audio and video devices, compresses the data, and makes it available via a network port. The client, which runs in Windows or Linux, connects to the server and receives the audio/video data. The compression is such that it greatly reduces the bandwidth needed for transmission, so this is a great solution for those using wireless ethernet.

Note that SAV is now bundled in with ACTS. This allows you to run ACTS to perform color-tracking, and then use an SAV Client to watch the same video that ACTS is using.
