Mapper3

New Mapper3 now imports and converts laser scan (.2d) files!



The Mapper3 application (which replaces the older LaserMapper application) is a program designed as a helper for ARNL and MobileSim. Mapper3 can convert laser scan log files (.2d) to map files (.map), edit map data and by add goals, forbidden lines, home points, and other map objects. These maps can be used with ARNL or SONARNL as maps to localize and navigate with and with MobileSim to define the space to simulate. Mapper3 can save maps as bitmap images, and with an appropriate server, upload and download maps automatically.

You must purchase the Complete Laser Mapping and Navigation package to have access to these files. For information contact sales@mobilerobots.com. For a basic map editor without laser scan import, use Mapper3-Basic.

Mapper3 has been tested on RedHat Linux 7.3, Debian GNU/Linux 3.1, Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP 2.

* Package built for Debian 3.1 (sarge/stable). Use the command dpkg --info mapper3_1.3.10-2_i386.deb to see information including dependent X-windows packages required by the Debian package.
